Does anyone know which is the best screen to get fitted into a e92 which hasn't already got one


Bought these wheels a week ago, is this a crack in the alloy or a crack in the lacquer? 😖

you cant take them back lol your suppose to check alloys for cracks before you buy second hand so its your own fault if its not been spotted, if they are new then you will get new ones id say

How to reset BMW 3 Series Sedan airbag light?

I own myself a 2000 BMW 3 Series 328i 4dr Sedan. My airbag light illuminated several times during the past a few months. Every time I took it to the dealer shop, I was charged 50 $ to 75 $ to have the airbag light reset. Then I realized that I had got myself a DIY airbag reset tool.
One of my school mate recommend me BMW B800 SRS / ABS reset tool. I purchased one at a quite right price $ 24 includes B800 main unit, two connectors and user manual.
It is not difficult to hook up to use First of all, turn ignition switch to "ON" but not start the engine;. Then plug the B800 scanner into the diagnostic socket and press scroll button to CA. After that press enter, display will show and airbag light turn off. I realize that the airbag warning was self inflicted. I had removed drivers' airbag weeks before to paint steering wheel and pinched wires during reassembly.
The second time it helped to quickly reset the SRS system because the door was wire loose. Fixed, used B800 reset tool as instructed and no more air bag light
.
I know that B800 works on older BMW vehicle (from 1994 to 2003) on the manual book, so I will not tell a lie that it works as good as on newer BMW vehicles. But it is trustful product for older BMW owners as me.

ICOM can’t read out E46 vehicle order/ VIN Solution

BMW Icom is a Auto Diagnostic Tools for BMW series

 have a BMW ICOM clone and trying to connect to my E46 with ista D, but it says it can’t read out vehicle order or VIN. Here I offer two solutions, just for sharing.

Error: the vehicle could not be identified. Please check the access to the vehicle and check whether the testing-analysis-diagnosis has been activated.

I find a solution, just like with K+DCAN connect pin 7&8 with a switch that you can shut off when connecting to newer cars. I mean that I just connect 7&8 pins of icom A2 connector
Even with the K+Dcan it won’t connect, once i did this trick it connected well, with Ista and INPA
But, someone in forums say they cannot solve it with this solution, and think it might be the K-line problem. They put forward another solution as follows:
Dissemble the PCB board of your ICOM clone
Test the resistance (marked red in picture below) to check if the voltage is 39K with a multimeter, if it is, it’s normal.
Otherwise, the device is damaged. You’ve to send back for repair.



NOTE:
The solutions above are for BMW ICOM clone, not for USB interface, so it is helpless to get an OBD2-adapter where PIN 7+8 is bridged. And you are at risk to try, please be responsible for what you do with ICOM A2.
